Ionizing radiation has enough energy to knock electrons off of atoms or molecules. This is called ionization. Ionized molecules are unstable and quickly undergo chemical changes.
If ionizing radiation passes through a cell in the body, it can lead to mutations (changes) in the cell’s DNA, the part of the cell that contains its genes (blueprints). This could contribute to cancer, or to the death of the cell. The amount of damage in the cell is related to the dose of radiation it receives. The damage takes place in only a fraction of a second, but other changes such as the beginning of cancer may take years to develop.
Types of ionizing radiation include x-rays, gamma rays, some high-energy UV rays, and particles given off by radioactive materials such as alpha particles and protons. These forms of radiation have different energy levels and can penetrate cells to different extents, but all are capable of causing ionization.
Its confirmed that Saudi Arabia is shipping arms to foreign fighters and Syrian rebels operating out of Jordan. The Australian reports in their article, “Bombs in Syria as Saudis ‘send arms to rebels’,” that “Saudi military equipment is on its way to Jordan to arm the Free Syrian Army,” quoting an Arab diplomat. Of course, as reported below, the “Free Syrian Army” is led not by Syrians, but by NATO-backed Libyan militants from the US State Department-listed terrorist organization, ‘The Libyan Islamic Fighting Group’.
$900 billion plus is spent on military budgets worldwide per annum, approximately 50% of this is spent within the United States of America, who’s Pentagon wasted on average $9000 per second prior to September the 11th 2001.
March 18, 2012 – A twin terrorist bombing in the Syrian capital of Damascus, allegedly targeting government buildings, ripped through a Christian neighborhood killing an estimated 27, mostly civilians. A third bomb exploded, killing only the driver of the car it was placed in, in what was apparently an attempted triple suicide bombing. CBS News reports (1) that after other similar attacks, U.S. officials suggest Al Qaeda terrorists “may be” amongst the Syrian rebels. However, while the West attempts to portray this as an unexpected development, we shall see that it not only was likely, but in fact the premeditated modus operandi of Western-backed destabilization efforts directed at upturning not only Syria, but the entire Arab World.

From the beginning the Committee of 300 (through their US military arm) has been directly behind the unrest in Syria. Clark would go on to say that shortly after September 11, 2001, while at the Pentagon, a document handed down from the Office of the Secretary of Defense indicated plans to attack and destroy the governments of 7 countries; Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Somalia, Iran, Lebanon and Libya.
Clearly the Committee of 300 has already “attacked and destroyed” Iraq, which in 2003 was invaded and subsequently occupied for nearly a decade at the cost of nearly a million lives including over 4,400 US soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines, and trillions of dollars of taxpayer money. Likewise Libya was destabilized and invaded by proxy through a combination of US-led NATO forces and US State Department listed terrorist organizations including the (Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (listed #27) lead by Abdul Hakim Belhaj.
Somalia has been the victim of repeated US-backed invasions by Ethiopia (4), Uganda, Kenya (5), and systematic air (6) and drone campaigns (7) carried out by the recently established US Africa Command (AFRICOM), while neighboring Sudan has been carved into two separate states, isolating the oil-rich south (8) with further intervention pending as public support is built by stunts including the fraudulent Kony 2012 video and George Clooney’s pro-imperial intervention advocacy.
US designs toward Iran serve as a model for Syria.
Iran has likewise been under systematic premeditated attack for years, including brutal sanctions, and the training, arming, and funding of US State Department-listed foreign terror organization (listed #29), Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MEK) to carry out terrorist attacks within Iran, as well as the constant threat of unilateral attack by either Israel or the US, or both – all of which was described in minute detail in 2009 amongst the pages of US policy think-tank Brookings Institution’s “Which Path to Persia?” report (9).
In this report, they openly conspire to use what is an admitted terrorist organization as a “US proxy” :
“Perhaps the most prominent (and certainly the most controversial) opposition group that has attracted attention as a potential U.S. proxy is the NCRI (National Council of Resistance of Iran), the political movement established by the MEK (Mujahedin-e Khalq). Critics believe the group to be undemocratic and unpopular, and indeed anti-American.
In contrast, the group’s champions contend that the movement’s long-standing opposition to the Iranian regime and record of successful attacks on and intelligence-gathering operations against the regime make it worthy of U.S. support. They also argue that the group is no longer anti-American and question the merit of earlier accusations. Raymond Tanter, one of the group’s supporters in the United States, contends that the MEK and the NCRI are allies for regime change in Tehranand also act as a useful proxy for gathering intelligence. The MEK’s greatest intelligence coup was the provision of intelligence in 2002 that led to the discovery of a secret site in Iran for enriching uranium.
Despite its defenders’ claims, the MEK remains on the U.S. government list of foreign terrorist organizations. In the 1970s, the group killed three U.S. officers and three civilian contractors in Iran. During the 1979-1980 hostage crisis, the group praised the decision to take America hostages and Elaine Sciolino reported that while group leaders publicly condemned the 9/11 attacks, within the group celebrations were widespread.
Undeniably, the group has conducted terrorist attacks—often excused by the MEK’s advocates because they are directed against the Iranian government. For example, in 1981, the group bombed the headquarters of the Islamic Republic Party, which was then the clerical leadership’s main political organization, killing an estimated 70 senior officials. More recently, the group has claimed credit for over a dozen mortar attacks, assassinations, and other assaults on Iranian civilian and military targets between 1998 and 2001. At the very least, to work more closely with the group (at least in an overt manner), Washington would need to remove it from the list of foreign terrorist organizations.”
Again Brookings Institution is another assortment of the world’s arseholes and psycopaths that crops up again and again in my research into people. Time and effort would be best saved if we forget about the public front ‘political parties’ such as Republicans, Democrats, Labour etc and concentrate on the actual parties maneuvering unmonitored in the background.
It was also revealed in Seymour Hersh’s 2008 New Yorker article “Preparing the Battlefield,” that not only had MEK been considered for their role as a possible proxy, but that the US had already begun arming and financing them to wage war inside Iran:
“The M.E.K. has been on the State Department’s terrorist list for more than a decade, yet in recent years the group has received arms and intelligence, directly or indirectly, from the United States. Some of the newly authorized covert funds, the Pentagon consultant told me, may well end up in M.E.K. coffers. “The new task force will work with the M.E.K. The Administration is desperate for results.” He added, “The M.E.K. has no C.P.A. auditing the books, and its leaders are thought to have been lining their pockets for years. If people only knew what the M.E.K. is getting, and how much is going to its bank accounts—and yet it is almost useless for the purposes the Administration intends.”
More recently, the British Daily Mail published an admission in their report titled, “Mossad training terrorists to kill Iran’s nuclear scientists, U.S. officials claim… but is Israel’s real target Obama?” by “US officials” that Israel is currently funding, training, arming, and working directly with MEK. The Daily Mail article states, “U.S. officials confirmed today that Israel has been funding and training Iranian dissidents to assassinate nuclear scientists involved in Iran’s nuclear program.” The article continues by claiming, “Washington insiders confirmed there is a close relationship between Mossad and MEK.”
Well we’ve seen the scientists being killed. Clearly then, the use of listed terrorist organizations is not an unfortunate or unexpected development in the midst of Western backed regime change operations – they are a central pillar in their planning and execution.
This leaves only Lebanon and Syria – Lebanon having suffered a brutal air assault by Israel (10) who ultimately failed to rout Hezbollah forces in the summer of 2006. Breaking the back of the Iranian-Syrian alliance that allegedly serves as the foundation of Hezbollah’s strength would next be targeted.
The overthrow of Syria’s government is a premeditated plot.
A concerted campaign to isolate, destabilize and overthrow the government of Syria began in 2002, a year after Clark was informed of the Pentagon’s plan to blitzkrieg through the Middle East. It was then that Secretary of State John Bolton added Syria to the growing “Axis of Evil (11).” It would be later revealed that Bolton’s threats against Syria manifested themselves as covert funding and support for opposition groups inside of Syria spanning both the Bush and Obama administrations.

In an April 2011 CNN article (12), acting State Department spokesman Mark Toner stated, “We’re not working to undermine that [Syrian] government. What we are trying to do in Syria, through our civil society support, is to build the kind of democratic institutions, frankly, that we’re trying to do in countries around the globe. What’s different, I think, in this situation is that the Syrian government perceives this kind of assistance as a threat to its control over the Syrian people.”
Toner’s remarks came after the Washington Post released cables (13) indicating the US has been funding Syrian opposition groups since at least 2005 and continued until today.
In an April 2011 AFP report (14), Michael Posner, the assistant US Secretary of State for Human Rights and Labor, stated that the “US government has budgeted $50 million in the last two years to develop new technologies to help activists protect themselves from arrest and prosecution by authoritarian governments.”
The report went on to explain that training sessions had been organised for 5,000 activists in different parts of the world. “A session held in the Middle East about six weeks ago gathered activists from Tunisia, Egypt, Syria and Lebanon who returned to their countries with the aim of training their colleagues there”. Posner would add, “They went back and there’s a ripple effect.” That ripple effect of course is the “Arab Spring,” and in Syria’s case, the impetus for the current unrest threatening to create unrest within the nation and invite in foreign intervention.”
More recently, revelations that Syrian militants are in fact being armed, trained, funded, and even joined on the battlefield by Libya’s Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG), a US State Department-listed foreign terrorist organization (listed as #27) (15) only further highlights the necessity of Syria’s government under President Assad to attempt to restore order at all costs. The Telegraph would report in November 2011 (16) that LIFG leader, Abdul Belhaj met with senior leaders of the “Free Syrian Army” on the Turkish-Syrian border. It was reported that Belhaj was pledging weapons and money (both of which he receives from NATO) as well as sending LIFG fighters to train and fight alongside Syrian militants.
VoltaireNet.org would confirm (17) Belhaj and his LIFG’s role in not just assisting Syrian militants but in fact leading them in NATO’s armed destabilization of Syria.
NATO and the UN are backing terrorists in the midst of military conquest disguised as “humanitarian intervention”.
Now, with terrorist bombing campaigns targeting civilians and ripping through Damascus, we see just as it was planned for in Iran, the deployment of terrorist elements and tactics to bolster efforts to topple the Syrian government. The corporate media in tandem with Pentagon officials feign ignorance in an attempt to maintain plausible deniability before a public they assume are far too ignorant to have read or comprehended their designs articulated in documents like “Which Path to Persia?”.
It is confirmed that the UN’s casualty reports are based solely on opposition “activist” accounts and not on any verifiable facts. The UN’s November 2011 human rights report was based solely on such accounts, recorded not in Syria or the surrounding region, but rather in Geneva. The report itself was compiled by Karen Koning AbuZayd who is concurrently a member of the Washington D.C. based Middle East Policy Council (18), along side current and former associates of Exxon, the US military, the CIA, the Saudi Binladin Group, the US-Qatari Business Council (19) and both former and current members of the US government.

Likewise, other “human right advocates” like Amnesty International are similarly compromised – Amnesty being headed literally by a former US State Department official, Suzanne Nossel, Executive Director (20). Nossel had just finished a stint as Deputy Assistant Secretary for International Organizations at the U.S. Department of State before being appointed as head of Amnesty (21). She was also vice-president of strategy and operations for the Wall Street Journal and a media and entertainment consultant at McKinsey & Company (a Council on Foreign Relations “founding” corporate member (22)).
Amnesty International also receives funding from Wall Street speculator George Soros’ Open Society Institute (annual report page 8)(23) as well as the UK Department for International Development (page 8), the European Commission and other corporate-funded foundations.
Clearly “humanitarian concerns” are a disingenuous justification for continued meddling in Syria, with all involved notorious fabricators and harboring a staggering array of demonstratively conflicting interests.
With the addition of evidence proving the premeditated use of terrorist elements in the overthrow of sovereign foreign nations in Aspen Strategy Group / Rand Corporation / Tavistock Institute / RIIA / AEI and Committee of 300 policy planning (under the ever approving gaze of The Order of The Garter and Opus Dei), these efforts, as well as those of their busy go-betweens such as the filthy-dirty arms trading Carlyle Group and the naieve (or mind controlled) militant proxies carrying their agenda out on the ground in Syria, are exposed as illegitimate criminality of vastly unprecedented proportions.
Admittedly this sketch is funny to begin with, but it shouldn’t be long before it also disturbs you somewhat. Disturbing because its meant to be satire; Intended to be an “exaggeration” of a perceived misandric tendency in society, and yet, it ends up being a pretty accurate description of where we already are. It’s disturbing because what was meant to be satirical here, ended up being more like a documentary.
The fact is there must be an equal number of psychologically ill females out there walking around having similar thoughts to that of the male sex offenders that our news items scapegoat and it would be foolish to assume otherwise. However the family unit has been under persistent attack over the past four or five decades and one of the best methods through which to achieve a marked success in its destruction has been to demonise the male, or the father figure.
And so, father’s have no rights (intentional) and are further ground down by departmental organisations such as the Child Support Agency who use the child as collateral (see organisations such as Dead Beat Dads Association, link in footnotes)
The most primary functions of mainstream media are to divert the public’s collective consciousness away from matters of any real consequence or significance by whatever means necessary and to additionally create a perpetual state of fear within the subconscious mind of the viewer, again by whatever means necessary; Children and our instincts to protect them are an ideal vehicle to provoke the latter and so any excuse to have revolving segments using off-putting buzz-terms which will assist in achieving this is taken full advantage of.
When watching Television Your conscious mind doesn’t really have to take much of a hold on it because you have no say in the matter. It’s the subconscious they want it to work on because whatever the subconscious works on will ultimately work on you. It just takes more time to settle itself like a jelly poured into a mold.
… and it’s constantly active. The conscious mind is often totally unaware of some of the details and information that the subconscious mind is drinking in. In fact one of the objectives with television is to lull the conscious mind into a semi-sleep state at which point the subconscious mind, which never sleeps, is more open to suggestion – this is the area they want to manipulate. This way you think the thoughts you think are yours when really they’re simply the ingredients applied to the mixture prior to ‘setting’.
Our media machine in actual fact creates and nurtures the mind of the paedophile. This might sound far-fetched but when you’re fortunate enough to have relevent clips that would ordinarily be separated out over days or weeks spliced together in a more succinct and immediate context, it becomes much more obvious that whats really going on here is absolutely grotesque. However, to demonstrate I don’t have to look far unfortunately.
“Towelhead” is written and directed by Alan Ball, the man behind “Six Feet Under” and “American Beauty.” But it’s caused outrage for its graphic depiction of sexual, mental and physical child abuse that verges quite literally on kiddie porn.
The movie, so odious that many people have simply walked out during the screenings, shows actor Aaron Eckhart having sex with a 13-year-old girl played by a now 19-year-old actress, Summer Bishil. The actress only turned 19 recently however, which means that she was just on the cusp of 18 when she made the movie last year. (dated 2010)
The fact that this film has been funded at all is evidence that there are some pretty questionable individuals working within media. The video I wanted to use was an interview Eckhart did with ESPN or CNN in which he was swooned over and praised for taking on such a challenging role by the pitiful news anchors before they encouraged all to go and see the film, but I was unable to find it. I’m thankful though that on sourcing the following interview viewing stats were relatively low on many of the videos I came across.
Never-the-less, ultimately you have to ask yourself what kind of person would endeavour to see a film of this kind and more importantly, how the film affects the subconscious of two categories : 1. An individual already interested in material of this nature, and 2. An individual who hasn’t previously been interested in material of this nature.
Predominantly though the main theme of the movie is the sexualisation of the child and this is something that a lot of ill but powerful people on the world stage are striving to pursue as its gradual acceptance would suit their own sicknesses. This notion might be laughed at and claimed to be paranoia or hysteria.
Larry King– John Decamp’s attempt at child sex ring exposure, Named in testimonies surrounding The Franklin Cover-Up, Troy Boner (do the digging yourself on this one), (The Franklin child prostitution ring allegations were a series of allegations and legal actions surrounding an alleged child sex ring serving prominent citizens of Omaha Nebraska as well as high-level U.S. politicians. The scandal centered around the actions of Lawrence E. King. King eventually served 10 years of a 15-year prison sentence when convicted of embezzling thirty-eight million dollars as manager of the Franklin Community Federal Credit Union in Nebraska. He was later served with a $1 million default judgment after he failed to appear in court to respond to civil charges of kidnapping and child abuse. On February 1, 1991, former Nebraska state senator John DeCamp filed a civil suit on behalf of Paul Bonacci, against the Catholic Archbishop of Omaha and Lawrence E. King, as well as businessmen Peter Citron, Alan Baer, Harold Andersen, Michael Hoch, Kenneth Bovasso and other Nebraska persons and institutions) More detailed reading in footnotes
I could get really into some of my own research but this gets very deep indeed and brings catastrophic events such as the Dunblane Massacre and it’s subsequent DA-Notice into a more questionable light if I were to concentrate more on a British perspective. For the moment though I’d advise looking into heroes such as John Decamp or former head of the FBI Ted Gunderson who’ve spent decades trying to expose high level government and police officials involved in sexual abuse. It’s very much sleight of hand. On the one side mainstream media will crucify the sex offender if it further creates the perpetual state of fear within the subconscious mind of the viewer I mentioned in the opening paragraphs, but on the other it nurtures and protects the paedophile.
Modern society has become very secular in nature. People don’t know their neighbours and view anyone who isn’t part of their immediate family circle with the utmost suspicion (and even then in some cases immediate family I’m sure). The media response to high-profile child abuse cases and successive government knee-jerk legislation, (particularly that which applies an over-zealous emphasis on, ‘child safety’), are largely to blame.
As a result we currently have people of different generations who won’t communicate in public and view anyone who even remotely deviates from the accepted norm with suspicion or even contempt. The hypnotic functionalities of television are so effective, that we even suspect ourselves or rather, become super-conscious of our own outwardly perceived behavioural characteristics around other different generations. Adults no longer talk to children for fear of being accused of something heinous, despite there being no foundation and this outcome has been absolutely designed to within the finest degree.
This is Royal Institute of International Affairs and Tavistock policy being played out by the droves of malleable walking zombies we have allowed ourselves to become. Just one ‘drip’ in the continual War of Attrition.
People like Tony Blair and those who work for think tanks such as The Fabian Society, DEMOS, The Royal Institute of International Affairs, Tavistock Institute etc, and to some extent Common Purpose which serves as a networking and training avenue encompassing the aforementioned, have an excellent understanding of the broad spectrum of methods used to attack the general publics’ collective consciousness relentlessly, and seek to implement them whilst projecting an empathetic, morally just animus perception to the public. We need only acknowledge the emblem of the Fabian Society (of which Tony Blair holds membership) and it’s wolf in sheep’s clothing.
… nothing is hidden from us.
This collusion between media bodies and some of the above mentioned organisations should have us condemn mainstream media on its own merit, but we don’t. Why?
One should become symbolically literate and build the ability to recognise the methods used to effect negative change in society. What these publicly funded bodies are doing to the individual subconscious mind through television is so subtle and so veiled behind a contrived outward perception of having good intentions, and they’ve become so good at doing it, that its very easy indeed to allow one’s self to become swept up in all the clouded waters of social engineering without even realising you fell in to it.
It’s important to resist the temptation to attack the child killer or the sex offender who are themselves indications of a much more sophisticated induction of mental illness by proxy so to speak. Television is their primary weapon against us and we must begin to ask some very damning questions about the kind of people influencing our media. Instead we applaud the newscasting vultures as they strip the bones of what are essentially merely symptoms of socio-engineering and mainstream media’s own willingness to accommodate and implement such agendas.
It would be fantastic if we could work up anger pictured toward the real manipulators.
The purpose of law in a democratic, non religion-controlled society is to allow that society to function in a way that reflects its peoples’ ideas of right and wrong.
The large number of people who themselves violate copyright law indicates that current laws are out of line with the will of the people and if the public were in control of their own destiny as they should be then these laws would probably be changed soon.
Negative change is promoted though, not positive.
Just as an additional note before I mention the good information, in terms of any media, all they’re going to do is keep playing with the formats so that you have to keep going out and replacing your old format with the new, ad infinitum, until you die.

In December of 2011, just weeks before the takedown, Digital Music News reported on something new that the creators of Megaupload were about to unroll. Something that would rock the music industry to its core.
MegaBox was going to be an alternative music store that was entirely cloud-based and offered artists a better money-making opportunity than they would get with any record label.
“UMG knows that we are going to compete with them via our own music venture called Megabox.com, a site that will soon allow artists to sell their creations directly to consumers while allowing artists to keep 90 percent of earnings,” MegaUpload founder Kim ‘Dotcom’ Schmitz told Torrentfreak
Not only did they plan on allowing artists to keep 90% of their earnings on songs that they sold, they wanted to pay them for songs they let users download for free.
“We have a solution called the Megakey that will allow artists to earn income from users who download music for free,” Dotcom outlined. “Yes that’s right, we will pay artists even for free downloads. The Megakey business model has been tested with over a million users and it works.”
This was about to revolutionise not just the music industry, but the world.
So out they roll SOPA / PIPA and these other ‘bills’ because they think they’re losing money currently, and about to lose a whole lot more. They’re not interested in the artist or the copyright owners at all; it’s their own pockets they’d prefer to line better, as an emerging free race of positive human beings start chipping away at the chain links.
They couldn’t allow it. Which is why they raided this guys house in New Zealand and took all his Cadillac off him. They’re desperate to try and rally public and industry support for these bills so that they can protect their cash cow – our art.
There is a whole bunch of disgusting people clinging desperately to their bloated and protected methods of cashing in on everything we do.
Just imagine how much more income people would generate as filmmakers, cinematographers, audio technicians, actors, artists, publishing companies and on and on, if they were able to get a cut of 95% of the cost, each time a film / song / photograph / file was downloaded.
I know a lot of people in a range of media industries and it’s a shame because a unanimous majority are typically in favour of these bills because they don’t seem to have the vision to see past whats really sucking on the life-force of art. The woodwesp’s egg has set itself up to appear to be both saviour and protector of art. These people could unwittingly be destroying their respective industry and their own futures.
I don’t think people really understand how nefarious lying is. The twisted mind of the psychopathic control freaks who slither their way into positions of power both corporate and political use lies not just as a cover up device, hiding truth from the rest of us, it is a thuggish, aggressive projection of an image or idea to forcefully keep us silent and subdued.
They also have to drug our food, air and water? Same thing.

What Is Lying?
Lying is not a two-dimensional cover up device. When it comes to our self-appointed rulers and handlers it’s brute force being exerted on the human psyche with carefully delineated objectives.
And these people live whole lives that are massive lies, covering up untold weird acts and atrocities.
When you see the horrendous truth about some of these characters who pretend to portray some caring father figure in the government buildings it is truly dumbfounding. Never mind almost all of them being members of secret societies, most are known to participate in drugs, pedophelia and weird secret rituals – never mind their mass genocidal wars and covert operations.
Yeah it pushes you past the limit of credibility, and that’s where they want you. When the difference between what you’re being told versus what you’re seeing and sensing is so wide and seemingly unbridgeable, that’s the place they want you to be.
And to stay.
Cognitive Dissonance
This term gets a lot of play but it’s so essential in knowing and understanding how we’re being fooled.
The term cognitive dissonance is used to describe the feeling of discomfort that results from holding two conflicting beliefs. When there is a discrepancy between beliefs and behaviors, something must change in order to eliminate or reduce the dissonance.
So while a lot of psychological factors are at play, even though we’re living in a war mongering, violence promoting, promiscuous, sensationalized fear and scarcity based atmosphere, you’d rather believe their promises that everything is fine and getting better just to get by and not rock your mind any.
Politicians are the perfect examples of cognitive dissonance. You’re constantly hearing one thing while they do another. It’s continuous so people don’t just tolerate it, they expect it. And the more they do that the more illusion can be imposed.
If they told you the truth you would freak out and their machine would stop. That’s only gonna happen when they want the whole thing to collapse.
People are getting it more and more, but to some extent that’s got them nervous. The depopulation agenda has been exposed thoroughly, but never so chillingly as in the words of the disgusting Zbigniew Brzezinski in one of his instructional talks following his clearly articulated concern over the ‘global political awakening’ as he called it :

Abu Qatada has been described by Jamal al-Fadl in his testimony in the Southern District Court of New York on February 6, 2001, as a member of al-Qaeda’s “Fatwa Committee”. Ah give over I love this. So he’s getting around with 170 grand (almost half a million dollars)? Was this him getting a taxi and surrounded by New Scotland Yard imps with a hockey-bag full of notes and an envelope like its meant to sound? If you dig deeply enough you can find search yields of this alleged detail on the interweb prior to 2012, but the earliest I could find was March 2007. Seven years it taking for this little bit of juice to trickle out into the public domain just doesn’t sound right to me.

They expect us to imagine that this kind of money comes from wealthy Muslim business men living around the world and here in the UK but life doesn’t work like that. And If you were on benefits and 170k landed in your bank account the police would be around to see you like a shot.

Reducing the extremes in wealth is therefore a major goal for progressives of all kinds.

The assassination on Wednesday of another Iranian nuclear scientist may now prompt Iran to try to respond in kind.
Almost all of Western media have referred to Jan 11, 2012’s victim as a nuclear scientist. In fact the victim, Mustafa Ahmadi Roshan was a 32 year old with a degree in Chemical Engineering.
The assassination took place near one of the main buildings of the Intelligence Ministry, i.e in a zone where there is even further extra security. MOSSAD / MI6 / CIA it’s all one in the same.
Iran has threatened to close the Strait of Hormuz – a key route from the Gulf through which 20% of the world’s traded oil passes. US Defence Secretary Leon Panetta warned on Sunday that such a move would cross a “red line” and “we would take action and reopen the strait”.
Leon who?… ‘Habibollah Sayyari’ (chief of the Iranian navy), responded to the allegation on Iranian state television – “No order was given for the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. But we are prepared for various scenarios.”
It seems from my reading that US Naval ships are in and out of this straight trying to antagonise Iran who naturally keep tabs on what ships are passing through the area.
Iran said it had increased the enrichment of uranium from the 3.5% needed for commercial nuclear reactors to the 10-20% needed for a research reactor near Tehran. Weapons-grade uranium is at least 90% enriched. Achieving 20% was a key step towards weapons grade uranium, Western experts say.

Yesterday on the CBS show ‘Face the Nation’ Panetta stated, in no uncertain terms, that Iran is not trying to develop a nuclear weapon, making one wonder why the United States and the United Nations feel justified in pressuring Iran.
United States Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta openly admitted on national television that Iran is not, in fact, developing nuclear weapons, yet still justified the Western assault on their nuclear program.
“Are they [Iran] trying to develop a nuclear weapon?”
“Uh, no,” Panetta said, adding, “but we know that they are trying to develop a nuclear capability.

Most of us probably have a Youtube account and if we use it regularly, whether that’s to upload or browse content or both, we’ve probably all been pissed off with some of the changes over the past five years. Their latest change was a complete revamp of the site taking away a lot of the basic functions.
I’ve got 330 contacts now, about a quarter of those were subscriptions to other users (now I’ve had to sub everyone due to the changes), but on the homepage I only ever get to see a tiny selection of this 330 channels’ user activity which is usually the same handful of channels. There are a lot of people whose interests I value that I never see on the ‘friends activity’ page, and they’re certainly watching videos.
Also as a website policy you’re only allowed to upload videos of no longers than approx 13 minutes.

So I stumbled on this guy who’d decided to leave Youtube and he was pointing me towards a site called Zippcast.com (see link to his page in footnotes).
Looks really decent. In fact it looks like Youtube used to, except it has one or two extra functionalities. Can’t really grumble at that but I wanted to be decisive and get in early so that I could secure my username (which 99% of the time I find has already been registered by some one else), which is :

You can post bulletins (Youtube’s just done away with this)
There is a chat function pop-up
Search function doesn’t seem to work very well but It looks like early days for the site. With enough audience and registered users they’ll swell no doubt and make some improvements to the sites layout.
What I’ll do over the next fortnight or so is download the videos from my Youtube Channel using Keepvid and reupload them to Zippcast.
This is going to give you a good chunk of the information that matters all in one shot. Good clips are used from a variety of sources including Adam Curtis – ‘The Power Of Nightmares’, RT, independent film-makers, Qaddafi talks to the UN, allowing the viewer to more easily apply circumstances into context. You’ll need an hour.

Libya established the investment authority in the past decade to find outlets for its rapidly growing oil wealth. As part of his plan to open Libya’s economy, Muammar Qaddafi’s government organized meetings with former U.K. Prime Minister Tony Blair and Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi. The Carlyle allocations are among $13 billion of investments Libya made in private-equity firms, hedge funds, stocks and bonds.
Carlyle Co-founder David Rubenstein said in a March 1 speech that his firm hadn’t invested in Libya. He didn’t say whether Carlyle had accepted investments from the nation.
Governments around the world froze assets tied to Qaddafi’s regime in February after violence erupted in the African nation. The U.S. and U.K. governments are now backing rebels trying to remove Qaddafi from power.
The Libyan Investment Authority filing shows HSBC Holdings Plc (HSBA) and Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS) held assets for Qaddafi’s government. HSBC held $292.7 million across 10 accounts and Goldman Sachs had almost $44 million in four accounts. The banks declined to comment.
About $3.9 billion was invested in structured products with hedge funds and investment banks, including more than $1 billion at Societe Generale (GLE) SA and $171.5 million at JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM), the document shows. Spokesmen for the banks declined to comment.

Government admits Alan Duncan’s links to company in ‘Libyan oil cell’
The government has admitted that the international development minister, Alan Duncan, took part in meetings between officials operating a Whitehall cell to control the Libyan oil market and Vitol – a company for which Duncan has previously acted as a consultant.
The “Libyan oil cell” involved a group of officials working in the Foreign Office since May waging a quiet campaign against Muammar Gaddafi’s regime by controlling the flow of oil in the country.
It is said to have played a discreet but crucial role in the campaign in Libya by helping to enforce the sanctions regime to prevent Gaddafi importing and exporting oil while allowing oil to reach the rebels in the east. That oil came via one company, Vitol.
Duncan, a former oil trader and multi-millionaire, has had a 30-year friendship with the managing director of Vitol, Ian Taylor, at one point operating as a consultant to the company and as a non-executive director to a subsidiary firm. Taylor has also been a Tory donor, declared on Duncan’s parliamentary register of interests.

Well the term ‘wide-open’ comes to mind. Note one of the journalists in these next reports saying “We have no idea who these people are”. Precisely.
They can pick a few dozen guys from any country, with misty backgrounds, drop them off on the ground and give them weapons and facemasks and the general masses protesting assume that they’re nationals. As long as they look like they’re from Libya they manage to blend right in with the swelling crowds.
Hollywood has more to answer for than perhaps you might at first give it credit for. The James Bond and other misc Hollywood spy films did a great job of creating this standard delusion in the subconscious minds of Westerners of kitted-out, glamerous secret agents. British secret agents having a British appearance. This is very difficult for the majority to shake off.
The consensus is that the terrorists look Arabic, and the super heroic western secret agents look like Sean Connery. It doesn’t work like that.
Whatever favours Col Muammar Qaddafi may have bestowed upon Sirte while he was in power, it is certainly payback time now. The city, his birthplace, which he favoured above all others in Libya, is in ruins. There is hardly a building left unscathed by the fighting.
